Why should I straighten my teeth?

The process of straightening teeth is called orthodontics.  This may be done with braces or clear trays called aligners. There are several benefits to straighter teeth.  The first being the most obvious- a nice to look at smile.  The second may be less obvious. This is to protect against gum disease.  Crooked, crowded teeth can provide areas for bacteria to hide and make it difficult to clean your teeth. Moving teeth into a more ideal alignment can improve gum health and overall health.   Lastly, it can make dental work on teeth have a more predictable outcome.
